ARE YOU LISTENING TO DRIVE SUCCESS?

Listening does not mean waiting to speak - are you confusing the two?

Are you listening in order to drive success?

If you’re not listening for the specific purpose of figuring out how to facilitate success, you’re doing it wrong.

Too many people in positions of authority only listen for the bits that benefit them. If they’d simply flip the script and focus on identifying underlying benefits for their people, they’d end up getting the results they want and actually drive ownership and accountability into the organization.

Too many people in positions of authority only listen for the bits that benefit them.

Related, but different, we see way too many executives confusing listening with waiting to speak. They are not the same. If while listening, you develop a response, you might not actually be consuming the content you’re hearing.

Listen with curiosity, ask about the content you just heard, formulate a full perspective, then respond.

When you listen, do you hear how to help?
